Upper Primary (P5-P7)

Our structured drama curriculum combines performing and scene-building to help students develop strong acting skills through voice work, movement, and improvisation. Working individually, in pairs, and in small groups, they bring ideas to life, create compelling characters, and explore engaging stories. Along the way, they enhance articulation, voice projection, and clear communication, while building active listening, collaboration, and confidence.

Youth Theatre (S1-S6)

Our youth theatre classes are all about creativity, confidence, and connection. Through improvisation, script work, and theatre techniques, students explore stories, develop characters, and practise voice work and public speaking in a safe, supportive space. Along the way, they make new friends who share their interests, while building teamwork, self-expression, and communication skills they can use both on stage and in everyday life.

Our Curriculum

01

Speechwork

At Drama Kids Academy, we work from a structured curriculum designed by experts in education and child development. Lessons are created to tap into the imagination of every young person, regardless of age or ability, and to give students practical skills they can use in all aspects of life, while also gaining skills and experience that could support a future career in the arts.

02

Movement

Each week, students take part in fun, creative activities including voice work, movement, improvisation and script work, exploring stories and plays that inspire imagination and confidence. Our supportive teachers foster a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to express themselves openly and without fear of judgment.

03

Improvisation

The programme helps students develop key life skills like confident communication, eye contact, teamwork and creative problem-solving, supporting success both in drama and everyday situations.

04

Performance

At the end of Terms 1 and 2, parents are invited to see students’ progress. In the summer term (April–June), all classes work on a fully scripted play, performed at the theatre for family and friends, a joyful celebration of creativity, growth and achievement, allowing each child to shine in their own unique way.
